Apartment removals**

Our service begins with the inspection of your furniture with free consultation and ends with the assembly of the furniture by the carpenter. In between everything runs like clockwork. Care and teamwork are our strengths; perfect service is a matter of course for us.

Overseas packaging

The secret of a successful overseas move is careful packing and precise loading into the container. We organize the transport until delivery in the receiving country with our partner companies.

OUR VEHICLES

We have a fleet of vehicles that includes furniture trucks from 25 m3 to 46 m3 load capacity and lifting platforms up to 2 500 kg load capacity.

Furthermore, a mobile car furniture lift with a load capacity of 400 kg can be moved up to 25 m (approx. 7 - 8 floors) in height.

Moving tips

To make your move as smooth and stress-free as possible, we have compiled the following checklist for you:

As soon as possible

• Check the rental contract, if necessary have it checked by a specialist
• Report any damage to the apartment to the liability insurance company and discuss it with the administration.
• Determine moving day and apply to employer for legal moving day (min. 1 day)
• Apply for or change telephone connection at Swisscom
• Determine moving company and have order/date confirmed in writing
• Hire cleaning company and have order/date confirmed in writing
• Draw up furniture plan
• Clear out and dispose of waste
• Inform school or kindergarten and discuss transition problems
• Hire cleaning company and have order/date confirmed in writing

3-4 weeks before moving date.

• Prepare address changes for: Bank/Postfinance, electric company, gas company, water company, residents' registration office, section chief, doctor, dentist, employer, school, kindergarten, health insurance, insurance, magazine and newspaper subscriptions, clubs, family, acquaintances.
• Request postal forwarding order (form available at post office)
• Use up food stocks and emergency supplies (frozen products, etc.)
• Order new furnishings and have them delivered to new home address

Just before the moving date

• Procure packing materials
• Pack expendable items and label them with their contents and destination (room).
• Make minor repairs to the apartment
• Reserve parking space for removal van (at old and new place) with janitor, administration or police
• Inform janitor and neighbors about use of elevator
• Discuss handover of apartment with landlord
• Dismantle furniture (if not done by moving company)
• Empty the freezer/refrigerator or transport it with your own refrigerator box
• Have important utensils ready for moving day: Pharmacy, tools, toilet paper, flashlight, extension cord, etc.

**On moving day

• Provide cleaning materials and trash bags
• Have food and beverages ready for moving team
• Wear non-slip shoes and appropriate clothing
• Have cash ready for moving and cleaning company
• Hang up furniture placement plan
• Have moving damage confirmed immediately by the moving man

After moving day

• Fill out and sign the apartment handover protocol
• Take a close look at the new apartment and check that everything is in working order, draw up a list of defects and send it to the landlord by registered mail.
• Register with the residents' registration office within the deadline
• Introduce yourself to the neighbors
